LET’S LEARN TO DEAL WITH OUR HIDDEN FEELINGS WHICH WE OFTEN PUSH AWAY IN OUR BUSY LIFE. NOT ALL FEELINGS ARE PLEASANT. HOW DO WE DEAL WITH THEM, ESPECIALLY WHEN LEFT ALONE IN A WAITING ROOM.

For Uma, 29, there could have been nothing worse than losing that dream job. It hit her like a punch in the gut. All those days and nights of intense commitment and hard work were now amounting to nothing.

When the COVID pandemic came along, her boss and start-up founder Viren, announced that the business couldn’t survive for much longer. In essence, he asked everyone to start looking out for a new job.

Uma had a ton of trouble processing this. For one, the very idea of losing a job, for no fault of hers, was something she couldn’t reconcile with. Plus, there couldn’t be a worse time or economy to be unemployed in!

For Viren too, this was the toughest announcement of his life. Letting go of his beloved idea, losing the people he trusted so much- it felt like losing a part of himself. How could he recover from a blow like this?

Fear, uncertainty, panic, and worry are now constant companions of the human race. As we were busy with our lives and schedules, one small virus came along and upended everything. As we struggle to process not just our feelings but the constant flux of emotions, wouldn’t it be nice to have company?
