Tripura Kashyap
Pioneer of Dance & Movement Therapy in India
Tripura Kashyap is a Movement Therapist / Dance Educator & Choreographer who pioneered Dance/Movement Therapy in India in 1990. She trained in classical dance at Kalakshetra, Chennai, and later studied Dance/movement Therapy at Hancock Center, Wisconsin, U.S.A. She holds an M.A in Psychology and has received fellowships from the Ashoka Foundation and the Indian Ministry of Culture for her innovative work in dance therapy and contemporary dance.
She has written, “My body, my wisdom – A handbook of Creative Dance Therapy” published by Penguin.

When i heard about this programm, i was only looking at a weekend getaway.I feel blessed to have learnt about this women's retreat and actually gifting this two days mindful conscious break to myself.This was based on art therapy and spending time with nature. All the women coming together to create such a strong bonding by sharing their individual stories was so powerful and unexpected as we were bunch of strangers.I am so glad that i didn't allow my guilt feeling to takeover for not spending the time with family and prioritizing self care and doing something like this to comeback fresh and recharged.
